Did you see that the Libertarians sent the Republican party a funeral wreath over McCain's assumption of lead?

In sympathy for the death of Republican ideals of limited government, etc. etc.?

What do you think?

Love it. Ron Paul is the only true conservative and the only Republican I ever stood behind or politician for that matter. Excellent article and so true.
Reply:I wish more were a throw back Dar. I really do. Report It

Reply:well, the wreath is quite appropriate, considering who mccain is and how little he did for the people that he represented in AZ, namely, nothing to prevent illegal aliens from coming here and stealing their jobs at reduced pay and with no taxes paid to the government that pays for all the services that they get for free. under only this circumstance, can you say that mccain isn't for big government, bigger and bigger government and higher taxes, in order not to do anything to help the common wo/man of our country, however, to allow and condone an amnesty package that he worked on for a year with the sacred liberal, teddy kennedy?

mccain and feingold wrote an act that limits free speech. why would a candidate for president of the united states back--no, actually, write--anything that removes our constitutional rights, any of them? i wonder what his card game really is.

mccain is a hawk for more war. wouldn't that create higher taxes? don't we need big government and higher income taxes to support a war that possibly could be avoided? sure, i have absolutely nothing against very, very diligent snooping over in the middle east as well as guarding our country against any more terrorist attacks in any way possible, but more war? why? because iran blew off a missile the other day? because iran is in bed with north korea? because we do know that iran lies to us about what purpose they have for uranium enrichment? but they have not made an act of war against us--so, we must, absolutely must, place more intelligence in the middle east. but is it time for more war and the cost to us? we are already deeply in the red and owe tons of dough to china, a communist country! and china talks of investing here!

why should we pay income taxes at all? nothing in the constitution says we should. why does the common wo/man who is just struggling to get by pay income taxes? a fair tax based on consumption is far more fair, meaning, if you choose to purchase a lotus instead of a ford, you will pay more in taxes. isn't it true that most wealthy people get away with greater tax breaks, therefore, they do not pay their fair share into the ever-widening and ever-more-hungry mouth of the government? i don't figure that working stiffs are really able, considering the sad state of affairs of our economy, to absorb the cost of running an ever-larger government.

rodham clinton tells us that if we do not agree to her national health plan that she will see to it that wages are garnished! and why is it that citizens of countries where there is national health care come HERE for medical treatment? would they, with a national health care system whereby the doctors have no incentive to be the best doctors because their work will be limited by directives set out by the national health care committee, yet another useless committee of highly-paid fools?

i think the only way to go is liberterian. the rest of them, mccain included, talk, and that's about it. they do not DO anything to change the way this country IS, to make it very strong again, to make it a country of self-manufactured products that americans trust and buy instead of their jobs getting OUTSOURCED all the way, doesn't everyone realize it, to china?

the only genuine candidate that is very consistent is an MD, ron paul. why is he not for a nationalized health care plan? why would he eliminate the income tax? could it be that we do not need to pay it? why does he hand part of his paid (by taxpayers, by us) office expenses back to the treasury every month? why did ron paul never, ever, in all the time he served in congress, vote for any bill that would chip away at the greatest rights that any people in the entire world have, those of the constitution? why would a doctor say that the 2nd amendment, the right to bear arms, is important to our own safety if he was not a patriot? why is ron paul the right man to vote for? because he is not a phony, he doesn't plan to make the federal government one iota bigger, but he plans to make it smaller, and he is behind, 100%, our own people making their own living using their own wits and labor. he's the one that will see to it that our borders are secure, not only against illegal aliens that bring al queda members over the border down south, but against TERRORISTS? how come so many voters today have forgotten 9-11??? what, are they nuts? do you know what disasters can result if we are not ever leary of terrorism? and maybe i am a mean person, but even this old hippie flower power, peace and love woman doesn't care if terrorists are tortured in guantanamo--it is the only way to get information out of people of that ilk. they are bent on destroying us, the "infidel."

i am so tired of the status quo. what it will do, if it continues, will make this country so much harder for our own people to live in. i KNOW that an even tougher atmosphere is coming, an even harder life, and i, for one, am happy i won't be alive long enough for it to affect me very much. but you young voters, what the heck are you thinking?

vote ron paul. send him money. although he is a stated republican, actually, his style is liberaterian. let us have liberty, let us live.

look: before you place your vote, at least go to this website and listen to this genuine, sincere person that isn't a politician, a liar: www.ronpaul.com. don't assume he has no chance. almost all the soldiers over in iraq will vote for him. why?

forget the politicians, forget those that talk and don't do, or those that lie, or those that want to please them all, or those that are figureheads. forget the status quo. let's take the one slender chance we have to rebuild our country into one of strength and pride.

vote ron paul!
Reply:Classic. I like that.
Reply:Hi Dar,

Reply:*chuckles

how appropriate... gotta love the sense of humour.

Slightly off topic... have you seen that video on google called zeitgeist?

some interesting stuff, particularly about the Federal Reserve and banking in this country...

recommend keeping an open mind, for those who do see it.
Reply:It's true. The Republican party has lost its true values. Whatever happened to low taxes, smaller government, and less wars? All that has changed, and now that's why many had changed parties.
Reply:Let's face it Bush is a 'closet democrat", and as Jerry and george say "not that there's anything wrong with that'. I wonder who will be first as the worst economical pres him or Carter. atleast with carter you could get real high cd rates, heck it's fallen to 3 % now, but a fellow on on one of my question mention he is getting 13% in Belarus and it's guaranteed. go figure. Oh yea "morph time". Yo got to have those votes. Although i feel sorry for obama as he worked so hard to show how normal the democrats where and then the freak show about clements today.
