Is there a special nail to hang items on exterior stucco walls?

I am decorating my screened-in porch. Only the front part is screened, the other walls are stucco, like the exterior of the house. I have some wall decor to hang: a lightweight wooden trellis with a silk wisteria vine, a wreath, a lightweight wooden sign, and a heavier "Welcome" plaque. Nothing is heavy. Is there a special nail, hanger, or technique to use? I don't want the stucco to crumble, chip, or crack when I drive a nail into it.





Suggestions, please?

I've got stuff hanging all over my stucco and I used screws and my power drill. I did use a wall molly to hang some wrought iron planters, but they are pretty heavy. I don't have cracks or chips around any of the holes.
Reply:Ask for the department at Home Depot that sells nails.I think there is a certain way to hang things on Stucco or you damage it.
Reply:First of all, use galvanized hardware (nails, screws, etc.). The coating on the hardware will not rust and leave a rust mark on the stucco. Use a plastic anchor, something that will spread out when you put the screw or nail into. This is always the best way to hang something if you cannot find the stud. If some does crumble, use some outdoor caulking to fill the hole and then paint over when you are done with that hole.

Can I plant seeds from a pinecone and get a tree??

I found these great pinecones that I LOVE, and I've had them for about 1 year and I'm making a wreath with them but noticed the seeds all fell out and I was wondering if anything would happen if I tried to plant them.

actually some pinecones will only be able to grow into trees after they have been through a fire. They searing heat does something do the coating on the seeds to make them sprout. I would try planting a couple in soil as they are and try some with the outside shell filed down on one side. Just enough to expose the inside. These may sprout better.
Reply:Yes, they will grow into a pine tree.





However, it will take a long time.





If you want a pine tree, go to your local nursery or home improvement store and buy one that is already ready to transplant. Otherwise, plant the seed and wait.

Reverse has Eagle and snake, bottom wreath, and Estados Unidos Mexicanos


This has a bronzish, gold color.


Collar is ridged and spaced around entire edge.

You have a 100 Peso coin made out of aluminum-bronze. It's reference number is KM# 493. and there was 43,000,000 minted. That was the lowest mintage for this type coin, during the 1980's. It books for a $1 in grade very fine up to $10 in mint state. These are book prices, so expect to get less from a dealer.

This may sound very silly, but i'll ask it anyway. birds are making a nest in wreath on my front door??

about a month ago, birds were making a nest in wreath on my front door, so i brought it inside as it isn't a good place for a birds nest with our family traffic going in and out and birds flying around After waiting for several weeks, i put the wreath back on door and today i noticed a beautiful little nest built so well and now don't know what to do. do you think i should put the wreath someplace safe so they can have their nest in it?? thank you - silly question i know.

Reply:If you move it, they won't use it.
Reply:yeah I'd put it some where safe, but it's really up to you if you wanna leave the nest inside your wreath or not
Reply:It's iffy that the birds will want to live if you move the wreathe. Is there any way you can redirect traffic through another door while the birds hatch the brood? Otherwise, maybe just move it over a few feet so there's a better chance the birds'll find it.
Reply:This happened to me a few years ago. If you can move it without touching with your hands(use gloves) and certainly do not touch the nest, move it where it is still close to the door. I wired it to the porch light. It was great because when they laid their eggs I was able to show my son. Everyday would check to see if they hatched and it was very exciting for him. After they abandoned the nest at the end of the season I gave it to a friend who sterilizes and uses them for craft projects.

Reply:LOL its not silly, my mom has the same problem. She always has a nest of birds on her wreath on her front porch. They were trying to make one in the one she has now but she pulled all the grass and stuff they started bringing up. It is a pain cause every time we would go over the momma bird would fly out and scare us half to death. You could move it somewhere else or just put it up. They will find somewhere else to go.
Reply:If there's a good place outside near the door that's not actually on the door, that would be good. If not, take the wreath back in right away before they lay eggs in the nest.

1. You and your family quit using that door until the eggs


and the birds are gone. Best for the birds.





2. Move the wreath and the nest. Might or might not be


acceptable to the birds. If you do decide to move it,


don't move it very far and wear gloves while moving it


to keep the human scent off of it as much as possible.


Middle of the road approach that might work out OK.





3. Toss the nest and bring the wreath inside. The birds will


go build another nest somewhere else.
Reply:If you can't put the wreath on a safe wall on the porch..move it to a tree in your front yard so you can watch the family develope.
