Anybody see the article on the lady who hung the christmas wreath shaped like a peace sign?

Her homeowner's association is actually trying to make her take it down. I thought Christmas was supposed to be all about peace on earth and goodwill towards men.
Somebody posted the address for the nazi president of her homeowner's association. Anybody feel like sending him a nice card with a peace symbol?

What the hell???? I read this just a minute ago and who would have thought you couldn't put a Christmas wreath up for Christmas. It's sad that we're becoming so politically correct that it's almost fascist and communistic. PEACE on earth and good will toward men. Man, I guess he doesn't want his kids learning that kind of crazy talk... all with the peace and pine needles and red bows......

Reply:I saw the story and thought it was crazy. I hope that anybody who supports any war would still always wish and hope for peace even while supporting the war. The peace sign may be wishful thinking but I don't think it's Satanic or unpatriotic!
Did you see the Kearns quote "Somebody could put up signs that say drop bombs on Iraq. If you let one go up you have to let them all go up," What the heck does that have to do with a Christmas PEACE wreath???

I agree and think it could be a small stepping stone to peace. But there is a very strong voice in America who believe we HAVE to be enemies with Iran. I am ashamed since it is very bad manners to reject an offering like that.

Does anyone make their own Christmas decorations?
I never pay for anything I can make myself, so I have made my own tablecloth, drapery, even the wreath. I also plan to make the bed linen. It's fun for me!
I always feel better --- self-satisfied --- when I can accomplish anything, when so many others pay (even take out bank loans) to get things done. It only takes a little effort and, applying our talents we can save a lot of hard-earned money, especially with the economy so out of control, today.

I have grapes so I make wreaths from the vines, also toys for my parrot from the vines, I make wine from the grapes. I makes all my own drapes and curtains and many tablecloths. I grow my own flowers for decorating, veggie garden for eating and preserving, fruit tree's. I believe self-subsistant living is a way to keep you grounded and content. I don't believe in the trap of credit card and loan debts either, my Grandmother taught me that if I can't pay for it, I shouldn't have it. More power to you, I've been living this way for 30 years.
