How much should I expect to spend for a wreath to lay at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier?

I am taking a group of inner city Catholic 7th and 8th graders to DC for the Right to Life March. I got a letter from the Army yesterday saying we are scheduled for a wreath laying. There are no real guidelines, and I haven't been to DC since 1976.

The wreath can be natural or permanent, no size minimum or maximum. My propblem is we are on a very tight budget, we have been raising the money, because just MEAL money for some of these families will be a stretch. So I am going to ask some veterans from our parishes to sponsor the wreath for us, but I don't know 'how much' we should be spending, because I have never seen the ceremony.

Any help???

Thanks!

Having done this in 2004 myself, we spent $120, for the wreath. You may want to contact a flower shop and ask them if they would be interested in donating one for this very noble purpose.

You may also want to contact a local branch of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), The American Legion, or the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) most of these local organizations have a fund already in place. They may be willing to pay for the wreath out of those funds.
Reply:Well, Christmas just ended, just grab it off a door and it's free.
Reply:Our company laid a wreath down for a town event, which costed about $180.
