I am apalled and disgusted that he is dishonoring our fallen hero's just to make a political statement. He clearly doesnt care about our service members, and to me, this is nothing more than a dog and pony show.
Is anyone else bothered by Bush laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetary?
Yea and I'm not sure why. A real gut feeling that something is wrong with this picture. All the things he has done wrong and all. It must lay in the back of his mind how he avoided the call to service. But I understand it is tradition. For those of you who criticize this question I suggest you walk the walk first. Unlike our Pres.
Reply:his daddy pulled strings to keep him out of the service so he has no idea what it means to protect his country, so i think he does this becuase hes already looks bad about his past so he doesnt want anymore bad news reports on him. Report It
Reply:This is a tradition for Presidents. He is the civilian representative honoring the fallen soldiers for the rest of the country.
It is the right thing to do.
Reply:I agree with you 100%. He has no thoughts about the military soldiers at all. He is just doing it for the publicity.
Reply:If your picture accurately represents you....I think that it would behoove you to watch what you say about YOUR Commander in Chief in an open aired environment as this Marine!
Reply:Why do you consider it dishonoring? I'd be bothered if he didn't.
Reply:He is a coward who hid under his fathers dress when called to do his dudy and shouldnt be let anywhere near the place in case those buried there should get up and start another civil war.On another point why does he always say he is going to do his dudy isnt that what babies do in their diapers. W "WE DONT NEED TO KNOW" Do your Dudy and dont tell us.
Reply:It bothers me profoundly that a wartime deserter like Bush can be President let alone profane the graves of men and women who died for their country.
Reply:Look, I don't like Bush anymore than some of you guys here do. He's an idiot to be sure. But even HE'S not that devious to think only of politics while lying a wreath on the unknown soldier. I too would be offended if he didn't recognize our beloved military, dead and alive.
Thank you Shocktrooper and all of you military folks for all you do! And how little you get compensated for it. We love you!!
Reply:Maybe you should lose your political opinions? Every president lays a wreath at the Tomb Of The Unknowns. Even Clinton did - and people kept their political opinions to themselves when he did so.
Reply:he does everything for political gain... nothing he does comes from the heart!!!!!
i would have respected him more if he would have fought in Vietnam!!!! instead he hid behind the pretense of the national guard!!!!
he has no right to be in charge of our survive men and women who hold our country so sacred!!!!!
Reply:NO I'm really not. He was just honoring the fallen. Leave the poor guy alone. How would you handle the war any better? He's doing the best he can with what he's got.
Reply:No. He is honoring the unknown and the known who have died for our country!
Reply:NO-And neither is The UNITED STATES MILITARY . What do you do in your spare time, picket military funerals? Your comment is out of line and designed to bring yourself attention when the focus today is on our soldiers who died to make you free .
Reply:I would handle the war by not starting one.
Reply:You are entitled to your opinion and fortunate enough to live in a country were you can even voice your opinion on say THE INTERNET!
I would be offended if the President of the United States of America DID NOT lay the wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. It is a tradition, showing honor and respect to those who died for our freedoms. Therefore, the single most powerful man in the free world SHOULD lay the wreath.
As far as blasphemous....turning your back on our sitting President during a time of war? Isn't that being a bit of a BENEDICT?
Reply:I seem to be bothered by everything that he does!
Reply:Quite honestly I would find it more disrespectful if he didn't.
