In this holiday season of peace what kind of wreath is permissible to hang on your house door?

DENVER A homeowners association in the southwestern Colorado town of Pagosa Springs has told one of its residents to take down a Christmas wreath shaped as a peace sign, because it's "divisive."

The association's president says three or four residents have complained the wreath is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan.

In this holiday season of peace what kind of wreath is permissible to hang on your house door?
who cares
Reply:Well I'm glad I'm not in that area,b/c my wreath says -WHITES ONLY.......................................
Reply:How stupid. But if you choose to live in a community like that, then you have to follow the ordinances.

When did being offended take precedence over freedom of speech...I think this country has gotten so nit picky that we are going backwards.
Reply:Stupid, isn't it?
Reply:The peace sign is actually an old Norse protection symbol used "upside down". The people who complained about it being a "symbol of Satan" were confusing it with the inverted Pentagram (5-pointed star), but they would have been wrong there also. I would suggest keeping with the traditional circular wreath or perhaps a tree-shaped wreath. I think making the person take the symbol of peace in what SHOULD BE a peaceful symbol pretty lame, but you have to abide by such things when you are in a condo situation.
Reply:this wreath wasn't hung on the house door, but on a wall.

if it were on the door, there likely wouldn't have been an issue.
Reply:With a war being fought over oil, it would be inappropriate to use anything made out of plastic, as plastic is made from oil.
