How to make a floral hair wreath? Please help!?

I am making a beautiful fairy costume for my little one, and really would like to make a nice wreath for her hair as well, but am not sure what to use for the base of it...has anyone made one for a costume or wedding or anything? Can someone help me with some ideas or quick instructions? THANKS!

If you have any fabric left over from her dress, about 2-3 inches wide and long enough to fit around her head, you can make a matching circlet. Sew the fabric into a long tube. Turn it inside out and fill it with stuffing. Sew extra long ribbons onto the ends of the tube and tie the ends together to form a circlet to fit her head comfortably. Allow the ribbons to hang down the backside. Wrap ribbons, beads, costume jewelry (chains etc) or lace around the circlet to decorate it.

I've also used a grapevine wreath purchased at a craft store to make a crown. They come in all sizes so you would choose one that fits the head of your daughter.

Leave it natural or spray paint it the color you want. Weave ribbon and flowers around the crown etc.

My daughter is 14 and feels much too old to let me do something like this for her. I miss those days....thanks for letting me share ideas!
Reply:I use floral wire and shape it into a halo. Then I take silk flowers on a short stem and hold them onto the wire and wrap with floral tape. After I have secured the 1st flower, I lay the 2nd flower on top of the stem, just below the 1st flower, and wrap it onto the halo.

When you have completed the halo with the flowers, then take long curing ribbons and streamers and attach them to the halo where the flowers ended.
Reply:This site will show you how to make one.
