Why will some be outraged as Dick Cheney lays a wreath at Arlington in honor of our fallen troops?

God bless GWB, Dick Cheney, and all our troops and their

families!

Why will some be outraged as Dick Cheney lays a wreath at Arlington in honor of our fallen troops?
Because some people are perpetually outraged with no joy or common sense to permiate their miserable lives. These same people often suffer from a pathological need to believe Dick Cheney also personally blew up the World Trade Center, was behind the original engineering blueprints for the bridge collapse in Minnesota, and most recently started several fires in California. And if you corner them to back up any of their irrational hatred with even one measly fact...they generalize by screaming "HALIBURTON"
Reply:Simple... they have an irrational and pathological hate for George Bush and anything associated with him... and a special dislike for Cheney, who they perceive as the "power behind the throne". Facts and reality don't enter their world at all.
Reply:THAT'S SO TYPICAL OF THE LEFT. I NOTICE MANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ANSWERED THIS QUESTION MENTION THE LACK OF MILITARY SERVICE BY DICK CHENEY DID THEY REALIZE THAT THEIR GREAT BILL CLINTON DIDN'T SERVE EITHER. HE HID IN THE OLD SOVIET UNION %26amp; DEMOSTRATED AGAINST THE VIETNAM WAR OVER THEIR. THE MILITARY USED TO TURN THEIR BACK TO HIM.
Reply:Once again, we some way out wacko libs who have just lost it.

They don't let the elevator go to the top.

I Cr 13;8a
Reply:Dick Cheney is known to be the solicitor of the false information that was presented to the public as a reason to invade Iraq.

He is also the prime cheerleader for torture and mistreatment of military prisoners and the odd Guantanamo not-a-civilian not-a-combatant legal status that removes rights from those arrested - many of whom have been released as "mistaken identity" after a year or more of imprisonment.

His approval rating is even lower than Bush's.
Reply:Part of it lies in an attitude developed during World War II. A large cross section of America participated in military service during that war including Reserve units. Lacking military service lessens the credibility of a politician responsible for deciding when the military should fight a war.

Prior to World War II, being a famous former general was somewhat of an advantage in politics, but otherwise military service or lack of military service had little relevance to politics.

World War II was a unique experience in US history and military service probably isn't quite as relevant today with politicians that grew up after World War II. Failing to serve in a war wasn't a huge disadvantage for either Clinton or Bush 43. (Irrelevant, but more puzzling, is that DWI's and admitted substance abuse haven't been a serious disadvantage for Clinton, Bush 43, and Cheney, either.)

Which leads one to believe the other part of the outrage is just a dislike for Cheney, himself, and the way he has performed as Vice President.
Reply:Because they resent Dick Cheney and his lack of participation in the defense of this nation when we were in another conflict. To the veterans who are outraged, they have my support and understanding. To the liberals who are outraged; well, they can just phuck off.
Reply:it's sickening that a draft dodger would be allowed in the presence of brave men on a day like today
Reply:Because Dick Cheney is a draft dodging chickenhawk.
Reply:Why not have the gentleman responsible for so many unnecessary deaths honor those he killed? Plus Dick will want to also honor all those who fought in Vietnam so he wouldn't have to.
Reply:5 deferrment chickhawk dick cheney is dishonoring that grave by his mere presence.
Reply:I have no idea, maybe they are part of the Code Pink hit squad.
